Although this pattern may look complicated, it is actually quite easy. Using only double crochet and chain stitches, this is a great pattern for those without too much experience. It is also easy to crochet using the twin v stitch while watching a movie or chatting with friends and family.

Any weight yarn with the appropriate size crochet hook. Our sample was made using worsted weight yarn and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook.

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
rep = repeat
sk = skip
st(s) = stitch (es)
tch = turning chain

Multiple of 4 sts + 2 (add 2 for base chain)

Row 1 (right side): 2dc into 5th ch from hook, 2 dc into next ch, *sk 2 ch, 2 dc into each of next 2 ch; rep from * to last 2 ch, sk 1 ch, dc into last ch, turn
Row 2: Ch 3, *sk 2 sts, 2 dc into each of next 2 sts; rep from * to last 2 sts, sk 1 st, dc into tch, turn
