Description
Colorful stripes crochet pattern is worked with two colors, color A and color B. In the sample above, the green yarn represents color A and the red represents color B. The basic stitch used throughout this pattern is the single crochet stitch. Although this pattern is not considered a beginner crochet pattern, you do not need to be an expert to master this stitch.
Materials and Supplies
Two colors of any weight yarn with the appropriate size crochet hook. Our sample was made using worsted weight yarn and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook.
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
rep = repeat
sc = single crochet

Craft Instructions
Multiple of 5 sts +1
Row 1: Using A, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to end, turn.
Row 2, 3 and 4: Ch 1, sc in first sc and in each sc to end, turn but at end of 4th row, draw B through last 2 loops of last sc, turn.
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in first sc and in each of next 3 sc, *working in row below draw up loop in sc below sc just worked and in each of next 2 sc, insert hook in next sc of 4th row and draw yarn through sc and 3 loops, yo and through remaining 2 loops (cluster made), sc in each of next 4 sc; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 6: Ch 1, sc in first sc and in each st to end, drawing A through 2 loops of last sc, turn.
Rep rows 3 through 6.
