Description

Are you looking for a unique wedding centerpiece idea? We have just what you need. My niece, Ana, made beautiful floral centerpieces for her wedding reception. The vase is made from a glass milk bottle and flocked scrapbook paper. Very easy to do yet eloquent at the same time. Choose the brides favorite flowers!

These milk bottle centerpieces are sure to be as big a hit at your wedding as they were at Ana and Eric's wedding. Although the flowers need to be added at the last minute (the day before is fine), the vases can be made well in advance.

Materials and Supplies

Centerpiece supplies:

  • Clean empty glass milk bottle*
  • Mod podge
  • Flocked scrapbook paper
  • Foam brush
  • Flowers of your choice

*Our milk bottle is 8 3/4" tall.

Craft Instructions

  1. Cut a strip of scrapbook paper that is 4" wide and long enough to go once around the milk bottle plus 1/2". For example it took a 12" piece of scrapbook paper to make it all the way around our milk bottle so we cut it 12 + 1/2 = 12.5".
  2. Apply a layer of Mod Podge to the back side of the strip of paper.and immediately adhere it to the outside of the milk bottle as pictured.
  3. Let the Mod Podge dry completely.
  4. Fill with water and any type of flowers you like. We used hydrangeas and they held up wonderfully!
