Our hanging potpourri heart would make a great Valentine's day gift for your sweat heart but moms, grandmas and teachers would also love to receive this thoughtful gift. Not only is it a beautiful Valentine decoration but it smells good too.

Our sample was made with a cookie cutter that is 4" wide x 3 1/2" high. All measurements are given to fit that size cookie cutter. You can use any size cookie cutter you have just adjust the length of ribbon and sequin strand to fit your cookie cutter.

Craft Supplies:

• Color mesh origami sheets
• Potpourri
• Plastic heart shaped cookie cutter
• 12" Strand of sequins
• 5 1/2" Piece of thin gold ribbon
• Tacky glue or hot glue gun with glue sticks
• Ornament stand

1. Place the cookie cutter upside down on your work surface. Run a bead of glue around the bottom edge of the cookie cutter. While the glue is still wet, place a piece of color mesh over the cookie cutter and press it into the glue*. Let dry completely.
2. Turn the cookie cutter over and fill the center of the cookie cutter with potpourri. Run a bead of glue around the edge of the front of the cookie cutter and press a piece of color mesh into the wet glue*.
3. Attach a strand of sequins to the front edge of the cookie cutter by running a second bead of glue around the edge and pressing the sequin strand into the glue. Let dry completely.
4. Cut a 5 1/2" piece of thin ribbon (we used 1/8" wide ribbon) and glue it to the top of the heart as pictured.
5. Trim the color mesh close to the edge of the cookie cutter.
6. Hang your heart from an ornament stand for a beautiful Valentine's Day decoration.

*Use a popsicle stick, pencil or some other item to press the mesh into the glue especially if you are using hot glue.
