Description
The Twisting Cable stitch is knitted as a panel of three stitches on a background of stockinette stitch. It works up quickly and is the first pattern I have posted which uses the cable needle on the purl row as well as the knit row.
Skill level: Intermediate to advanced.

Materials and Supplies
You can use any weight yarn along with the appropriate size needles for that particular yarn. A suggestion of needle sizes often is posted on the yarn label (wrapper). You will also need a cable needle for this stitch.
Craft Instructions
Panel of 3 sts on a background of reverse St st*.
Special Abbreviation:
C2B = Slip next st onto cable needle and hold at back of work, knit next st from left-hand needle, then knit st from cable needle.
C2BW = Slip next st onto cable needle and hold at back (right side) of work, purl next st from left-hand needle, then purl st from cable needle.
1st row (right side): C2B, k1.
2nd row: C2BW, p1.
Rep these 2 rows.
*To work a background of reverse stockinette stitch, in straight stitching, purl the first row, knit the second and repeat these two rows.
