Description

The Triple Wave stitch is a panel that is knited on a background of stockinette stitch. It's a very easy pattern comprised of basic knit and purl stitches. Great practice for alternating between knit and purl.

Materials and Supplies

You can use any weight yarn along with the appropriate size needles for that particular yarn. A suggestion of needle sizes often is posted on the yarn label (wrapper).

Craft Instructions

Worked over 14 sts on a background of st st.
1st row (right side): P3, k8, p3.
2nd row: [K1, p1] twice, k2, p2, k2, [p1, k1] twice.
3rd row: P3, k3, p2. k3, p3.
4th row:  K1, p1, k1, p8, k1, p1, k1.
5th row:  P3, k1, p2, k2, p2, k1, p3.
6th row: K1, p1, k1, p3, k2, p3, k1, p1, k1.
Rep these 6 rows.

The stockinette stitch, in straight stitching, is worked by knitting one row and purling the next and repeat. If you are knitting in the round, the stockinette stitch is worked by knitting every row.
