Description
The Pine Cone Pattern stitch is a pine cone designed worked on a background of stockinette stitch. It is a lovely delicate pattern which could be used in any number of applications.
Skill level: Intermediate
10 Stitch pattern repeat.
Materials and Supplies
You can use any weight yarn along with the appropriate size needles for that particular yarn. A suggestion of needle sizes often is posted on the yarn label (wrapper).
Craft Instructions
Multiple of 10 + 1.
1st row (right side): Knit.
2nd and every alt row: Purl.
3rd row: K3, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, *k5, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl 1, k1, psso; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.
5th row: K2, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, *k3, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, sl 1, k1, psso; rep from * to last 2 sts. k2.
7th and 9th rows: As 3rd row.
11th row: Knit.
13th row: K1, *yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k5, k2tog, yo, k1; rep from * to end.
15th row: K2, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k3, k2tog, yo, *k3 yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k3, k2tog, yo; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
17th and 19th rows: As 13th row.
20th row: Purl.
Rep these 20 rows.
