Description
The Pillar Openwork knitting stitch is a simple pattern to follow as there are only two alternating rows to follow. Of those two rows, one of them is just straight purl stitches all the way across.
Skill level: Intermediate
3 Stitch pattern repeat.
Materials and Supplies
You can use any weight yarn along with the appropriate size needles for that particular yarn. A suggestion of needle sizes often is posted on the yarn label (wrapper).
Craft Instructions
Multiple of 3 + 2.
1st row (right side): K1, *yo, sl 1 purlwise, k2, psso the k2; rep from * to last st, k1.
2nd row: Purl.
Rep these 2 rows.
