Description
If you are looking for a knitting pattern to add a decorative panel to an item you are making, you may want to consider stitching up the frost flower panel. This panel is worked over eighteen stitches on a background of reverse stockinette stitch.

Materials and Supplies
You can use any weight yarn along with the appropriate size needles for that particular yarn. A suggestion of needle sizes often is posted on the yarn label (wrapper).
Craft Instructions
Worked over 18 sts on a background of reverse st st.
1st row (right side): K1, yo, k3, sl1, k1, psso, k6, k2tog, k3, yo, k1
2nd row: P1, yrn, p4, p2tog, p4, p2tog tbl, p4, yrn, p1.
3rd row: K2, yo, k4, sl 1, k1, psso, k2, k2tog, k4, yo, k2
4th row: P3, yrn, p4, p2tog, p2tog tbl, p4, yrn, p3.
5th through 12th rows: Rep first 4 rows twice
13th row: P3, [k2, yo, sl 1, k1, psso] 3 times, p3.
14th row: K3, [p2, yrn, p2tog] 3 times, k3.
15th through 24th rows: Rep 13th and 14th rows 5 times.
Rep these 24 rows.
To work a background of reverse stockiette stitch, in straight stitching, purl the first row, knit the second and repeat these two rows.
