Description
The Four Section Cable stitch is a rib knit stitch. Knitting the cable in a rib stitch pattern gives it the distinct four row pattern shown here.

Materials and Supplies
You can use any weight yarn along with the appropriate size needles for that particular yarn. A suggestion of needle sizes often is posted on the yarn label (wrapper). You will also need a cable needle for this stitch.
Craft Instructions
Panel of 7 sts on a background of reverse stockinette stitch*.
Special Abbreviations:
T7B rib (Twist 7 Back rib) = slip next 4 sts onto cable needle and hold at back of work, k1, p1, k1 from left-hand needle, then [p1, k1] twice from cable needle.
1st row (right side): K1, [p1, k1] 3 times.
2nd row: PB1, [k1, PB1] 3 times.
3rd row: T7B rib
4th row: As 2nd row.
5th to 10th rows: Rep 1st and 2nd rows 3 times.
Rep these 10 rows.
*To work a background of reverse stockinette stitch, in straight stitching, purl the first row, knit the second and repeat these two rows.

- PB1=purl into back of next stitch
