Description
Donut Cable knitting stitch is worked as a panel of 16 stitches which can be inserted into any garment or afghan you are stitching.

Materials and Supplies
You can use any weight yarn along with the appropriate size needles for that particular yarn. A suggestion of needle sizes often is posted on the yarn label (wrapper).You will also need a cable needle for this stitch.
Craft Instructions

Special Abbreviation:
C8B = Slip next 4 sts onto cable needle and hold at back of work, knit next 4 sts from left-hand needle, then knit sts from cable needle.
C8F = Slip next 4 sts onto cable needle and hold at front of work, knit next 4 sts from left-hand needle, then knit sts from cable needle.
1st row (right side): K16.
2nd row: P16.
3rd row: C8B, C8F.
4th row: P16
5th to 10th rows: Rep 1st and 2nd rows 3 times.
11th row: C8F, C8B.
12th row: P16.
13th to 16th rows: Rep 1st and 2nd rows twice.
Rep these 16 rows.
*To work a background of reverse stockinette stitch, in straight stitching, purl the first row, knit the second and repeat these two rows.
