Description
The Cable with Segments stitch is knitted using a rib stitch pattern. It is a fairly wide cable as it is knitted on a panel of sixteen stitches.

Materials and Supplies
You can use any weight yarn along with the appropriate size needles for that particular yarn. A suggestion of needle sizes often is posted on the yarn label (wrapper).
Craft Instructions

Special Abbreviations:
T8B rib (Twist 8 Back rib) = slip next 4 sts onto cable needle and hold at back of work, k1 p2, k1 from left-hand needle, then k1, p2, k1 from cable needle.
T8F rib (Twist 8 Front rib) = slip next 4 sts onto cable needle and hold at front of work k1, p2, k1 from left-hand needle, then k1, p2, k1 from cable needle.
1st row (right side): K1, p2, [k2, p2] 3 times k1.
2nd row: P1, k2 [p2, k2] 3 times p1.
3rd row: T8B rib, T8F rib.
4th row: As 2nd row.
5th to 12th rows: Rep 1st and 2nd rows 4 times.
Rep these 12 rows.
*To work a background of reverse stockinette stitch, in straight stitching, purl the first row, knit the second and repeat these two rows.
