Description
This bold cable knitting stitch is worked on a background of reverse stockinette stitch. It is actually an easy stitch to accomplish but you will need a cable needle.

Materials and Supplies
You can use any weight yarn along with the appropriate size needles for that particular yarn. A suggestion of needle sizes often is posted on the yarn label (wrapper).
Craft Instructions

Special Abbreviations:
- C6B = Slip next 3 sts onto a cable needle and hold at back of work, knit next 3 sts from left-hand needle, then knit sts from cable needle.
- C6F = Work as C6B but hold at front of work.
1st row (right side): K6
2nd row: P6
3rd row: C6B
4th row: P6
5th to 8th rows: Rep 1st and 2nd rows twice.
9th row: C6F
10th row: P6
11th and 12th rows: As 1st and 2nd rows.
Rep these 12 rows.
*To work a background of reverse stockinette stitch, in straight stitching, purl the first row, knit the second and repeat these two rows.
