Our rolled edge hat is a great knitting hat pattern for beginners. All you need to learn is the basic knit stitch. Since this hat is knitted on circular needles, you won't even have to worry about sewing up a seam when you are done knitting.

This pattern is for an adult size hat.

Knitting Supplies:

• One 3oz ball Jiffy yarn by Lion Brand
• Size 8 circular needles
• Set of double pointed needles

• Cast on 87
• Working in the round, knit each stitch until your work measures 9 1/2"
• Mark beginning of next round and slip marker at the beginning of each of the following rounds.
• *K2 tog; K1 ; repeat from * around (58)
• K1 in each st; transfer stitches to double pointed needles.
• K1, *K2tog, k1 Repeat from * around (39)
• K1 in each stitch around
• K1, *K2tog. Repeat from * around (20)
• K1 in each stitch around
• K2 tog around (10)
• K1 in each stitch around
• K2 tog around (5)
• Cut yarn leaving a long tail. Thread the end onto a yarn needle and draw through remaining stitches; gather and secure. Weave loose ends into the inside of your hat.
