Daisy Pin Materials:
*For my white daily pins, I used daisy flower petals that were purchased at a party store and were meant to be scattered on a table etc. so they didn't have a hole in the center. My pink daisy was made from a complete artificial flower. I simply removed the stem and center of the flower. I left the small hole to represent the nose of the smiling daisy, however, if you prefer, you can glue a very small pompom on top of the hole to represent a nose.
Once the glue is dry, your pin is ready to wear. Variation: to make a daisy magnet, simply glue a piece of magnet onto the back of the first daisy in place of the pin. Hint: If you are making the Daisy Pins with a group of children, I recommend attaching the 2-sided tape to each pin ahead of time. The easiest way to do this is to make sure the pin is closed, hold it by the actual pin, unroll the tape and stick the "bar" section to the tape then cut the tape as close to the pin as possible. There should be paper on the other side of the tape which the children will peel off when they are ready to stick the pin on their flower. |
